Bags Under Eyes in Sunol

Treatment for Lower Eyelid Bags in the Tri-Valley

One of the most common questions we get at MD Laser Spa when meeting with patients about their eyes is, “How Do I get rid of these huge bags under my eyes?” Or, “I always look tired when I’m not?” Or, “Why do I have these dark circles under my eyes ALL the time?”

The good news is, you don’t have to get surgery to get rid of those pesky bags and dark circles under your lower eyes.

How does the treatment work?

Dr. Gray treated his right eye with Restylane® but left the left eye untreated. Compare how much better the right eye looks versus the left eye.
How we treat it

Restylane® is injected in small amounts underneath the skin with a small needle to fill in creases, lines, wrinkles and folds.

This treatment takes under 30 minutes and can last for YEARS!

It is excellent for under the eyes to reduce puffiness and dark circles under the eyes. Ask Dr. Gray about his Restylane® treatment under his eyes!

Restylane® FAQs

Multiple treatments may be necessary to optimize results. Two to four weeks after the first treatment is administered, a touch-up treatment may be required to achieve the desired results. The treatment wears off after six to twelve months and may be repeated to continue the effect.

Restylane® is FDA approved and is a safe product because hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the body and therefore dissolves naturally in the body’s tissues.

Possible side effects include swelling, redness and, in some cases, bruising. Generally these side effects disappear within a couple of days. These potential side effects are non-threatening.

There is generally no downtime. The treatment session takes about thirty minutes to perform.

The advantage of Restylane® over other treatments is that the crystal-clear gel is completely natural so it dissolves in the human body. It is also a non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid, which means that it causes less allergic reactions than animal-based treatments. No allergy testing is required before use.

The final result leaves facial features looking healthy, youthful and fuller.

On some occasions, there is slight redness or swelling. This temporary discomfort lasts two or three days. Your normal routine can be resumed immediately.

Your results appear after any swelling diminishes.

Restylane® lasts six to twelve months. Factors such as age, skin type and daily activities can influence how long the results last.

There is an assortment of other treatments including collagen creams, fat injections and chemical peels, but Restylane® is an excellent choice because of its natural injectable formula.

Additional treatment is necessary to keep the look persistent. In six months, the hyaluronic acid will begin to fade, and new treatment can be injected to maintain the desired results.

Before treatment, be sure to tell your doctor about any allergies you have to foods, medicines or environmental elements. Discuss any serious medical conditions and medications you are currently taking. Carefully follow any instructions given to you.

Clients can resume normal activities immediately following treatment. Slight redness and swelling may occur. Ice packs can be applied to reduce swelling.
